Snow day and Miss Ava’s first stamp class!
Well we woke up to about 6″ of snow this morning! I took a picture looking out the front door. Because I get to stay home and stamp away I can say how beautiful it was! But, I was worried that it would hinder some of my stampers. They are a hardy group. Some had to shovel before coming and some, (like myself), had their husbands shoveling and snowplowing so they could get out to stamp. We all have to have our priorities straight, right? Stamping is important, especially when you NEED to make birthday cards once a month!
We were honored with the presence of Miss Ava. She was born on February 1st and attended her first class today. Which goes to show – they are never too young to start stamping. She had a wonderful day and even had her picture taken with my Stampin’ UP! teddy bear from convention a few years back! That’s her proud Mommy (Amy) holding her!
So, now for the stamping. One of the cards that we did is perfect for a child’s card. I used the designer series paper Sweet Shop from our Occasions Mini Catalog. I love that paper – no matter how old you are it makes you smile. It’s filled with goodies, cakes, ice cream and candy! Who wouldn’t love a card with that paper? The 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon from Sale-a-bration goes so well with it. We also used one of the brads that comes with the ribbon. What do you think? Let me know!
